Why Disneyland Not Interested in Johor

Something I found online:

Recent conversation between President of Disneyland International(A) and
his Senior Vice-President of International Marketing(B):

A: So what's the latest on the international front?
B: Let's see. Yes, we have an enquiry from Malaisher.

A: Malaisher? Where's that? In Thailand?
B: No, that's somewhere south of Thailand. Small country, shaped like a banana.

A: Okay, what do they want?
B: They are interested in setting up Disneyland there.

A: Oh really? That must be near Hongkong. How are we doing in Hongkong?
B: Oh Hongkong is fine. That's because the weather in Hongkong is great, very conducive to outdoor action for the whole family.

A: What about the weather in Malaisher then?
B: Blistering hot, up to the thirties. Then they have two monsoons, six months apart.

A: Hmm, go on.
B: And when it rains, the place floods like hell. Cars washed away, trees uprooted, landslides.

A: You're kidding.
B: No sir. I've got a report here that says only 4 days ago an Indonesian community was washed away by a landslide.

A: Indonesian community? I thought you said Malaisher?
B: Oh yes, but they have hundreds of thousands of illegal workers, mainly from Indonesia.

A: What's the crime rate like in Malaisher?
B: Pretty bad. Snatch thieves, children kidnapped and killed ... last week a little girl was found dead. And the crime rate is expected to go up.

A: Expected to go up? Who said that?
B: The police themselves. They threatened to let the crime rate go up if the government sets up a commission that all of them don't like. See, it's here on the Net.

A: They even circulated that kind of threat on the Net?
B: Apparently a dumb corporal did it by mistake.

A: Tell me more about the police there.
B: Well, a report here says last week there was a peaceful demonstration against some tariff hikes and the police bashed them up, beat the hell out of them. I've got pictures.

A: Sounds brutally efficient.
B: Not really, cos last month there was another demonstration; this time against a forum that was being held in a hotel, and the police couldn't control that crowd. They actually asked the people in the forum to go home.

A: What more can you tell me about Malaisher?
B: Let's see ... oh yes, they produce fake DVDs by the thousands and actually sell them openly.

A: Gee, that bad huh? Well we can't let them touch our merchandise then, can we?
B: No sir. Oh, one more thing. They support Iran's nuclear program.

A: Tell me you're kidding!
B: No sir, they just had a regional meeting and their PM declared his stand. It's all in their on-line news.

A: Alright, listen. I've heard enough. We are not sending Mickey Mouse
there

Malaysian - Change your lifestyle!

A friend of mine send this to me and i find the facts are partially true. I am part of the statistic. Here it goes:

Are our ministers thinking ?????

Let's to do some calculations here. In Malaysia the average family income is RM3000 (Father works, mother doesnt). I understand there are a lot of families whose income don't reach RM3000, but, to make things simple, lets take RM3000 as the figure. ok la right?

Okay, let's start rolling with a family which has Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. ngam ngam..

Calculation starts...

Electricity and water bil RM100 (no aircond, no home theatre, no water heater k?)

Telekom and Handphone bil RM100 (cannot make a lot of calls one you know? NO Streamyx also)

Meal for the whole happy family RM775 (3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons????)

Papa makan/teh tarik during working hours RM155 (RM5/day, RM5 can eat what?)

Car repayment RM400 (a proton saga aeroback, 7 years repayment)

Petrol RM300 (Living in City, Jam) Go to work, bring son to school, only can afford one car running.

Insurance RM650, (kids, wife and myself).

House repayment RM750 (Low cost housing repayment for 30 years, retired still have to work to pay house!)

Tuition RM80 (got that cheap meh?? No, I don't think so)

Older children pocket money @ school RM20 (RM1/day, eat bread??)

School fees RM30 (enough ah??)

School books and etc etc. RM100 (always got extra to pay in school)

Younger children milk powder RM50 (cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive)

Miscellaneous RM100 (shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper)

oh wait!!! I have to stop here, so... No Astro, no movie @ cinema, no DVD, no CD, no online, cannot KFC, cannot Mc Donald, cannot go Park walk during weekend(petrol expensive), no chit chat on phone with grandparents, and etc...

Let's use a calculator to total up... WALAO EI.. Shit! RM3610 already.. EPF belum potong, income tax lagi,........ oledi --- RM610... How to survive laa tuan-tuan dan puan-puan sekalian??? Our Deputy Prime Minister ask us to change lifestyle? How to change? Don't eat? Don't work? Don't send children to school and study? Besides that, I believe in Malaysia

population, there are millions of Rakyat Malaysia which still don't earn RM3000/month!!!

What is this? Ini lah Malaysia Boleh.. Sorry.. it should be Malaysians

Boleh, because we're still alive and kicking!!

Our politicians must be mad!!!!!!

p/s - Hari ni 25/2/2006, eletrik naik 12% kalau dulu belanja RM100 sebulan sekarang dah RM112 sebulan. Kerajaan Barang Naik memang bagus... najib kata rakyat Malaysia perlu ubah cara hidup... aku kata ubah kerajaan...
